Poets, Prophets, and Preachers

I’m not a big fan of pastor conferences. They tend to degenerate into giant cocktail parties (sans cocktails) where good ol’ boys brag about golf scores and attendance numbers. However, one conference I would have liked to attend was Poets, Prophets and Preachers. The event is on the subject of preaching and it features Rob Bell, Shane Hipps, and Peter Rollins.

(By the way, Peter Rollins’ book Orthodox Heretic is a great example of what gospel communication can be at its best.)

Luckily, Jeremy Bouma managed to sneak in there with a laptop and is live blogging the event at Novus Lumen. No word on cocktails.

  1. Just to let you know, I’ve collected a list of people blogging PPP. In case you’re interested:

I feel the same way as far as conferences. But this one was great.
